Bio

I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW, LMSW-C) and psychotherapist offering individual therapy for adults in New York and Michigan.

I work individually with adults facing depression and anxiety and grappling with issues of identity, life transitions, self-acceptance, and self-confidence; finding their place (and their people); navigating relationships; setting boundaries; and aligning with their values.

I have extensive experience in client advocacy and public service and have spent most of my career working to make programs, policies, and services better, more trauma-informed, and more accessible for people facing various “-isms” tied to overlapping social identities. My work has centered in the areas of mental health; child welfare and custody; juvenile justice reform; education and disability rights; services for those experiencing homelessness; and LGBQ/TGNCNBI advocacy. I believe everyone has strengths, and that people are the experts of their own lives.

Weathering the COVID-19 pandemic led me to reevaluate my path and priorities. This reflection helped me pivot toward supporting individuals on a deeper level — and on my own terms — through private practice. It’s a privilege to engage with so many remarkable people on their own journeys of healing and growth.

I have a master’s degree in social work, with a minor in law, from Columbia University and a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Michigan.
