Bio

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by worries, juggling a lot of responsibilities, or facing challenges in your relationships, therapy offers a special space to find clarity, ease, and a deeper understanding of yourself. I am deeply committed and curious about supporting my clients. It’s an honor to guide individuals on their journey of self-growth and healing. My passion is to help you discover greater aliveness and empowerment in your life.

Areas of specialty include:

  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Relationships Challenges and Stress
  • Work Stress, Professional Concerns
  • Self-esteem, Inner-critics, Self-doubts
  • Life Transitions
  • Trauma – incidental, developmental, intergenerational, racial and societal
  • Experiences of being an immigrant, child of immigrants, person of color
  • Identities, acculturation, cross cultural issues

In our sessions, I primarily practice “talk therapy.” My approach is client-centered, where I offer warm, non-judgmental, active listening that deeply respects your inner wisdom and strength. I emphasize collaborative therapeutic processes, where we work together to discover what is most supportive for you during our sessions.

I incorporate Somatic Experiencing® (SE), a body-oriented approach focused on resolving trauma and chronic stress. SE methods provide us with embodied awareness and insight into trauma responses, along with tools to gently and gradually regulate and support our nervous systems, fostering balance in our lives.

I value social, economic, racial, and environmental justice in our communities, in my practice, and globally, striving for a more just future. I acknowledge that structural inequalities and systemic oppression and exploitation significantly impact our mental health and well-being. I am dedicated to attending and raising awareness of these issues, fostering a space where we can explore them together as needed.
