I want to stress that while I enjoy working in a variety of ways with diverse populations, I am particularly interested in helping Asian American adolescents and adults in therapy. While it is the fastest growing minority group in the nation, Asian Americans are also the least likely ethnic group to seek mental health support. My personal journey as a second generation, cisgender, monolingual Chinese American male who grew up in New England during the 1960’s and 1970’s affects how I show up wherever I go. While this may or may not be the same racial experience as your own, we can all relate to the universal feelings of love, depression, anger, and loss. I am committed to entering therapeutic spaces with cultural humility, a promise to meet you where you are at, and to help you move to a healthier and more empowered place in your life.
