Bio

I work collaboratively and actively with my clients to help them to increase their capacity for problem solving and coping skills, as well as using a strength-based approach to empower individuals to recognize their strengths and resources. I tailor our counseling work together based on the unique needs and backgrounds of each of her clients.  I support my clients as they navigate life challenges, and help empower them to pursue a more meaningful, enriching, and fulfilling life.

I have expertise in Asian American mental health, particularly around identity development, family dynamics, anxiety, relationships, imposter syndrome, emerging adulthood, intergenerational trauma, and other mental health concerns.

Social justice is at the core of my work, and strongly value diversity, equity, and inclusion. I work with clients in providing multicultural counseling to explore how your unique cultural, ethnic, gender, sexual, and religious identities are interwoven in influencing who you are and shaping your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Feminist therapy also is utilized in identifying how personal experiences as well as systemic and institutional influences can shape us and our challenges. However, I believe in the growth mindset, that we all have the capacity for change, to unlearn unhealthy behaviors or beliefs about ourselves, and strive towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
