Bio

Michele Kong Holistic & Somatic Psychotherapist in NYC

I welcome all aspects of each individual with empathy and kindness. I offer deep listening, nuanced observations and thought-provoking questions. I see my role as a collaborator, guide and compassionate witness to your growth and sustainable transformations. My aims for our journey together will be to highlight your inherent resilience, encourage you to come home to yourself through embodiment and re-connect with your intrinsic wholeness.

With decades of combined study/practice of Aikido, meditation and yoga, mindfulness will be a consistent thread through our work together. My focus, calm and compassionate energy will encourage you to explore, inquire deeply and embrace wholehearted living.

I specialize in offering body-mind integration to immigrants, refugees, descendants thereof (including 1.5, 2nd, 3rd… generation), BIPOC and multiracial folk. Utilizing trauma-informed, somatic approaches, slowly and gently I will support you to experience greater ease, meaning, life satisfaction, purpose and aliveness.
