Sang Lintakoon (she/her), LPC

Sex/Gender: Female
Pronouns: She / Her
Ethnicity: Chinese
Bio

Sang (she/her) specializes in working with children, teens, and adults who are navigating through anxiety, emotional regulation issues, relational conflict, life transitions, and attachment wounds. She is especially passionate about supporting adoptees (and their parents) and Asian American adults in their racial identity processing. She is influenced by strengths-based, person-centered, multicultural, and internal family systems approaches to counseling and is passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and less alone. Sang has her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and is also Theraplay trained.

After working for several years in corporate marketing, Sang transitioned into the world of non-profit ministry work. This work opened up opportunities for her to witness the resiliency of many diverse populations, ranging from refugee families in the U.S. to adoptees in Zambia, Africa. She witnessed the incredible power a listening ear and empathetic presence has to bring hope, encouragement, and healing to others and decided to pursue counseling to be a part of that process for more people.

As a first-generation Asian American who has spent time around many cultures, Sang is especially passionate about issues of racial identity and cultural influences. Her work in Zambia, Africa has also ignited a passion in her for adoption, foster care, and global orphan care. In her spare time, Sang enjoys hiking, traveling, and trying out authentic hole-in-the-wall restaurants with friends. She hopes she’ll get a chance to work with you soon!
