Bio

I was born and raised in India and moved to the US when I was 27. I have lived in the US for 23 years and raised 2 daughters here. I have lived and worked in both worlds and imbibed characteristics from both. I see myself as someone who belongs in both places, and yet in neither! I relate to the feelings of the children of immigrant parents, because I know that it has not been easy for my own children. I have also seen that many women moved away from their home countries not from a sense of choice but because they followed the men they had married. The transition to a new culture and a new relationship can be torturous unless both parties are somewhat mature and considerate. My training in Human development and family science at The Ohio State University helped me make sense of my own family dynamics and also understand that they are pretty similar across the world.
