Hello! I’m Ted Thao, a second-generation Hmong American therapist. I foster authenticity and well-being in our sessions. I believe that people connect and disconnect with one another and that the impact of repairing relationships and connections can be a catalyst for personal growth.
“Without the bad, how can we know the good. So, live in the good and respect the bad.”
This quote is my high school quote and how I view life. Recognizing our struggles and then making an active decision to find the joy in them. Who do we choose to become after something bad has happened in our lives?
Born and raised in the Hmong culture, I understand the power of diverse stories and the varied experiences that shape our lives. As a therapist, I create a safe and inclusive space for everyone by weaving our connections together regardless of our background, to embark on a transformative journey towards embracing our authentic selves.
I have experience working with the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, veterans, first responders, individuals who abuse substances, and Autistic communities. Through these communities I have experience treating, but not limited to; anxiety, depression, identity, PTSD, complex trauma, substance abuse, and grief.
Join me on this empowering journey of self-discovery. Let’s create a space where you can explore, reflect, and ultimately, embrace the authentic self that resides within you. Your story matters, and I am here to help by standing alongside you with compassion, understanding, and the transformative power of connection.
Are you ready to embark on a path toward self-discovery? Let’s take the first step together.
